The Academy adheres to the employment terms set out in the Collective Agreement for Universities in the Netherlands. It also works with a “menu system”: employees can exchange paid holiday leave or gross wages for extra allowances, for example to cover the cost of travel or training, or to boost their pension.

• a scheme to encourage training;
• generous leave arrangements that enable employees to combine their careers with child care;
• the option of exchanging paid holiday leave for shorter working hours, or to save up for an extended period of leave, for example a sabbatical;
• individual career guidance.

Menu system

The Academy’s menu system allows employees to exchange paid holiday leave or gross wages for extra allowances, for example to cover the cost of travel or training or to boost their pension, while enjoying a tax advantage.
