The Academy considers the quality of primary and secondary education a crucial matter. The Primary and Secondary Education Committee advises the Academy’s Executive Board on relevant issues.

The Primary and Secondary Education Committee convenes whenever the Academy is asked to respond to or express its views on an educational matter.

The Committee has defined two priorities for the 2010-2015 funding period: getting children interested in science and improving the disciplinary knowledge of teachers.
