The Academy is actively involved in assisting scientists worldwide who are at risk of imprisonment or worse. The Committee for the Freedom of Scientific Pursuit prepares the Academy’s campaigns in this area.

The Committee prepares the Academy’s letters to government leaders worldwide who are responsible for threatening and repressing scientists. The Committee also communicates with the international human rights networks run by academies of sciences.
