The Academy awards the De la Court Prize every other year in recognition of research conducted without financial reward, for example a large body of work, life achievement or outstanding accomplishment. The prize is awarded to researchers in the humanities and social sciences.
The De la Court Prize consists of a silver medal and a monetary award of EUR 7500. Researchers who have an appointment at a university or research institute and conduct research outside their discipline are not eligible.
