The Foundation’s aim is to continue and extend the work of the Dutch logician Evert Willem Beth. It encourages philosophical research and the teaching of philosophy by organising symposiums and lectures and providing funding.

The Evert Willem Beth Foundation was set up in 1978 in accordance with the will of Ms Cornelia Beth-Pastoor. Since 2011 the Evert Willem Beth Foundation finances the E.W. Beth 'Outstanding Disseration Prize' (please see: http://www.folli.org/).
