Jos van der Meer, former Vice-President of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Science, has been chosen as the President-elect of the European Academies Science Advisory Council (EASAC). EASAC is formed by the national science academies of the EU Member States to enable them to collaborate with each other in giving advice to European policy-makers, providing a means for the collective voice of European science to be heard.
