The Dr A.H. Heineken Prize for Art

Awarded to artists living and working in the Netherlands since 1988, the prize includes a trophy representing painter's tools, and a cash gift of EUR 50,000.


Historically, prizes have been awarded as follows:
1988: The Amsterdam Prize for Art
1994: Dfl 50,000
1996: Dfl 100,000 (The Dr A.H. Heineken Prize for Art)
2002: EUR 50,000

Dr A.H. Heineken Prize for Art 2010
An independent jury selects the winner of the Dr A.H. Heineken Prize for Art.

2008 laureate: Barbara Visser
The Dr A.H. Heineken Prize for Art 2008 (EUR 50,000) has been awarded to
Barbara Visser

'for her photographic and video work, notable for its wide-ranging form and content and consistently distinct signature'.
