The laureates are guests of the Heineken Foundations for one week, during which they deliver lectures throughout the country at different universities and research institutes. As part of the awarding ceremonies, laureates are also invited to deliver a 'Heineken Lecture'. In these Heineken Lectures the laureates discuss recent developments in their field of specialisation. The Heineken Lectures are open to a wide audience and can be attended by anyone who is interested in the subject. The lectures of the Heineken laureates are organised by the Academy in close co-operation with universities and research institutes.
