Privacy Statement

The Royal Academy considers your privacy important. This privacy statement explains which personal data the Academy collects, how these data are processed and for what purpose.

The privacy statement below specifically covers the processing of data on the Center for Career & Development Application Form. It describes how data entered on this form will be used and how long it will be retained. 

Use of data

The data entered on this form are forwarded to the Center for Career & Development team and then used for the following purposes:

  • To check whether your employment terms entitle you to financial aid for the relevant activity.
  • To contact you about your registration, to furnish further details about the relevant activity and the organisation providing it, and for administrative processing and invoicing purposes.
  • When essential for communicating about participation in an activity, data from this form may be sent to the organisation providing the activity, for example in the form of a list of participants. 
  • An (anonymised) evaluation of the activity in which you have participated will be sent to the e-mail address provided on this form.
  • In the case of an individual activity, the data are used to advise on a project proposal and a quotation. Sometimes such advice includes suggestions regarding the nature of the coaching, the purpose being to attain the highest possible quality of coaching and to provide a cost estimate and substantiation for the quotation.
  • To produce an annual report for each institute, which is then used to evaluate and optimise Talent & Development activities and to shed light on the manner in which these activities are used. These data are shared with the P&O staff of your institute to allow them to optimise their services. Personal data may be included in the report. 

Retention of data

The data are stored in an Excel file in a protected environment to which only Center for Career & Development staff and the head of the central P&O/Academy department have access. These data are deleted in April of the subsequent year, by which time the annual reports on the preceding year will have been completed.
