Academy Prize for Astronomy and Art

The Academy Prize for Astronomy and Art was established by the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences and the Society of Arts. It is intended for an artist who has created a work that is clearly inspired by astronomy.

The Academy Prize was conceived by Ewine van Dishoeck, Professor of Molecular Astrophysics at Leiden University and a recipient of the Academy Professor Prize, who has funded it from the discretionary portion of her prize.
