Peter Visscher is one of the world’s leading specialists in statistical and quantitative genetics. He is one of the few scientists who understands the genetics of human, animal and plant populations.
He and his team have developed software tools to map genes, combinations of genes and the associated traits in human, animal and plant populations. This has allowed them to show how intelligence is a heritable trait and that it depends on the effects of hundreds and even thousands of genes.
