The Annual NIAS Lecture “An Imagined Past; The Politics of History Making” will take place at the Pakhuis de Zwijger on 21 April 2021 in Amsterdam. The event will take place in a hybrid form allowing for online participation.

- Christophe Bertossi, Director of the Centre for Migrations and Citizenship at the French Institute for International Relations
- Femke Halsema, Mayor of the City of Amsterdam
- Jennifer Tosch, Initiator of Black Heritage Tours in Amsterdam and New York, co-founder of the Sites of Memory Foundation and member of the Mapping Slavery Project in the Netherlands
