ERC Advanced Grant for NIAS Fellow Franjo Weissing

Franjo Weissing, Distinguished Lorentz Fellow at NIAS and Professor of Theoretical Biology at the University of Groningen, has been awarded an ERC Advanced Grant.

The European Research Council (ERC) awards these personal grants of EUR 2.5 million to established, leading principal investigators with creative ideas that can have a major impact on science, society and the economy. With this grant, Weissing will unravel the machinery underlying the ability of organisms to adapt to their local conditions.
