About the KNAW Van Walree Fund

Sustainability and reduced climate impact are key issues for the Academy. With an aim to reducing conference travel, the KNAW Van Walree Fund is dedicated from 2023 to widely accessible, more sustainable knowledge sharing on medical-scientific research for professional colleagues.

The KNAW Van Walree Fund is named after Ms E.M. van Walree, who bequeathed her estate to the Fund. The Van Walree Fund was established in 1987 and is part of the Academy Medical Sciences Fund.
