Eenentwintig jonge onderzoekers op het terrein van de kindergeneeskunde en verwante vakgebieden kunnen het komende jaar met een KNAW Ter Meulen beurs naar het buitenland voor een wetenschappelijk onderzoeksproject dan wel werkbezoek.

'Draadloze pacemakers zijn zo klein als een vitaminepil en passen daardoor volledig in de rechterhartkamer. Ze zouden juist bij kinderen voor minder complicaties kunnen zorgen dan traditionele pacemakers.'
'Ik zal bestuderen welke behandelingen het beste werken om klachten te verminderen. Daarbij zal ik proberen te ontrafelen welke factoren in de behandelingen verklaren waarom de ene behandeling beter werkt voor meisjes en de andere beter werkt voor jongens.'
